Fairview Park Summerfest is 100% volunteer-powered. Join your neighbors in creating four unforgettable days for our community.
Every July, selfless members of the community come together to make Summerfest happen. From setting up tents to running games, selling tickets to planning and coordinating the entire event, our volunteers are the heartbeat of this festival. Whether you can give a few hours or join the planning committee, there’s a place for you.
Volunteer Opportunities
Planning Committee (Year Round)
Join the core team that plans and organizes Summerfest. Meetings are monthly from January through July, with more frequent meetings as the festival approaches.
Roles Include:
- Vendor Coordination – Manage vendor applications and relationships
- Sponsor Relations – Cultivate partnerships with local businesses
- Marketing & Social Media – Promote the festival and engage the community
- Logistics & Site Planning – Coordinate setup, layout, and operations
- Entertainment Booking – Secure bands and performers
- Volunteer Coordination – Recruit and schedule festival volunteers
Festival Weekend Volunteers (July 23-26, 2026)

Setup (Thursday, July 23 & Friday, July 24)
- Tent and booth assembly
- Signage placement
- Site preparation
- Vendor check-in assistance
During Festival (Thursday-Sunday)
- Admissions & Ticketing – Sell wristbands, manage entry gates
- Information Booth – Answer questions, provide directions, distribute schedules
- Kids Zone – Supervise activities, help with games and crafts
- Beer Tent – Check IDs, serve beverages (21+ only)
- Parade Support – Line management, participant coordination
- Parking & Traffic – Direct vehicles, manage overflow lots
- General Support – Roaming assistance, supply runs, problem-solving
Teardown (Sunday, July 27 evening & Monday, July 28)
- Booth and tent disassembly
- Trash and recycling
- Site cleanup
